PM Ciolacu: Amounts for paraclinical medical services, to be supplemented
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced that a draft law will be adopted at Thursday’s government meeting, which provides for the possibility of supplementing the amounts for paraclinical medical services recommended by family doctors as part of preventive consultations in the basic package, told Agerpres.
„We also have an important project in the health area. We are talking about amending and supplementing the framework contract for healthcare. The aim is clear: to increase the population’s access to preventive services. We offer the option of supplementing contracts with the Health Insurance House, we refer to paraclinical medical services recommended by family doctors, to consultations in the basic package,” said the Prime Minister.
More specifically, the Government is going to amend and complete Government Decision no. 521/2023 for the approval of the packages of services and the Framework Contract regulating the conditions for the provision of medical assistance, medicines and medical devices within the social health insurance system.
According to the background note, for the paraclinical medical services recommended by family doctors within the framework of the preventive consultations of the basic package, the amounts contracted with the health insurance houses may be supplemented by additional acts, after the end of the month in which they were granted, within the limit of the funds allocated to medical assistance in the specialist outpatient department for paraclinical specialties.
„For the mentioned paraclinical medical services, the providers will transmit monthly to the health insurance house, together with the activity reporting for settlement purposes, a centraliser whose model is provided for by order of the president of the National Health Insurance House,” mentions the source.
