Health Minister signs contract on building Big Burns Centre at „Grigore Alexandrescu” Children’s Emergency Hospital
Health Minister Alexandru Rafila signed the contract for the construction of the Big Burns Centre within the „Grigore Alexandrescu” Children’s Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, and the works will start in the first week of September, told Agerpres.
According to a press release, the new building will include two operating theatres for patients with severe burns, 10 beds for critical patients, 16 post-critical ICU beds and 10 beds for microsurgery and reconstructive surgery.
A new specialist outpatient clinic will also be opened in the centre.
The value of the investment is 56 million euro and is part of the project carried out by the Ministry of Health with the World Bank, and the execution period of the investment objective is 26 months.
„The construction and completion of the centres for big burns is an important component of the investment and development projects for the health system in Romania, which the Ministry of Health is carrying out in partnership with local authorities throughout the country. Responsibility, professionalism and good faith are the principles on which the current team of the Ministry of Health operates,” Minister of Health, Prof. Alexandru Rafila is quoted in the press release as saying.
The construction works of the Big Burns Centre in Timisoara started in June. The contract for the construction of the Centre for Big Burns in Targu-Mures will be signed by the end of the year.
