In a message on Ukraine Independence Day, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu conveyed to Romania’s war-embattled neighbors the best thoughts and full support for regaining their peace and freedom.
„For the second year in a row, Ukraine celebrates Independence Day fighting for freedom and the legitimate right to choose its own destiny. For a year and a half now, the Ukrainian people have bravely resisted Russian aggression, backed by the strong solidarity of the international community Romania has and continues to make an extremely important contribution to. At the recent meeting with my counterpart, Denys Shmyhal, as well as at the summit of Southeast European and Western Balkan heads of state and government which was also attended by President Volodimir Zelensky, I reaffirmed Romania’s staunch support for Ukraine. We will stand by Ukraine and the Ukrainian people until victory and the restoration of its territorial integrity, and further on, in the process of the country’s reconstruction. On the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, I convey to our Ukrainian neighbors the best thoughts and our full support for regaining peace and freedom,” Marcel Ciolacu wrote on Thursday on the government’s Facebook page, agerpres reports.
